Everyday, millions of Indians choose their favourite brands. Some brands succeed, some brands fail, some linger in our collective memories long after the brand has ceased to exist. The CNBC AWAAZ Consumer Awards is our way of saluting those brands that millions of Indians have chosen to buy, to try, to experience and to own.

The CNBC AWAAZ Consumer Awards are based on an exhaustive consumer survey done by the Nielsen Company across 21 cities spanning 12 states in India. The 2008 study also covered 84 Rural centers cities with over 10000 respondents. This year, we will be rewarding brands across 17 product and service categories.
